We're a family

Elsa may wonder at times, "Of all the families in all the world WHY did I get this one?" I can only hope she will wonder that with thanksgiving and with humor. I just know that our family is not complete without Elsa.

Some of our children are adopted but I forget which ones.

We have travel dates!

We received our official travel approval from China! We will leave on February 14th, receive Elsa on February 18th (Katherine's birthday), and return home on February 28th. Three weeks!!! I can wait three weeks. I think I can, I think I can.... with a little help from my friends.

It's a blog!

OK. It is 2008. I send and receive email and now I have a blog. Who would have ever thought...

My blog is so pretty thanks to Katherine. Don't even think about asking me how I got this background.

I created this blog to share with my friends and family as husband, Al, and I (along with my daughter, Katherine, and my father, Craig) travel to China to adopt our seventh child. Seven sounds like a lot of children but it doesn't really feel that way. It feels like just the right number.
